DJ Interviews: Majesty the band

Hey there everyone DJ Dizzy here & I sat down with a band who's a tribute to Queen called Majesty so here's what they had to say on their success

How'd you get started in music?

Majesty was formed back in 2009. The original line up consisted of Seth Daniels, and a group of very accomplished musicians based in Lincolnshire.

Majesty hit the floor running after appearing at several European festivals and Mercedes Benz’ 125th Anniversary party at the main factory in Stuttgart.

From there Majesty started to tour the UK tribute circuit, appearing at hotels, holiday parks and festivals.

The past two years Majesty have been working hard to enter theatres, working with promotors in shoes such as “The Champions of Rock” and “Anthems - the Ultimate Queen  Tribute”.

Majesty are entering there most exciting year, as we are venturing into creating our own theatre shows. We’re filming a new Queen promo which will feature spectacular sound and lighting all replicating Queen’s spectacular stage show. Focusing on the later years, Majesty have big plans to bring all the thunderous energy and power Queen were know for to the stage.

Who are your inspirations or influences?

We all obviously love Queen. How could you not! We believe that you need a real love and passion for the band your paying tribute to. Time and Time again, audience members will comment on how much the band enjoy playing the music, and it’s clear through the meticulous replication of the iconic sound.

Apart from this the band have a wide range of influences, from classic Rock to modern pop, we love it all!

What advice would offer aspiring performers?

Passion and dedication is a huge thing. Always give it your all. Always practice and push yourself forward. Just because you know the notes of a song, doesn’t mean you’ve learnt it in a way which will translate to live performance.  Even after 8 year, we still work hard at fine tuning our songs to make them dynamic and dramatic.

And lastly, go out and do it. Don’t rely solely on others to get you work, you need to be creating yourself. Find something you love to do and as soon as you don’t, do something else.

Any new gigs or albums in the future?

We have a full pack tour diary and big plans for new videos and shows.
