DJ Interviews: Major Weakness

Hey there everyone, DJ Dizzy here & I hared the pleasure of interviewing a band who call themselves Major Weakness & they had so much to share on their humble beginnings.

How'd you get started in music?

Originally from Deux-Montagnes in Quebec, Canada and Brazil, we played music since we are child, around 10-12 years old: the Canadian-Brazilian trio Major Weakness began this training in 2019 between practices in a family basement and a studio located in Montreal. After several formations going from two musicians to five, then two more, Major Weakness finally found his ideal recipe by being a trio. Composed of Nick G. Murray (guitarist, singer), DeeDee C (bassist and singer) and Jayy McLovin (percussionist)
Who are your inspirations or influences?

Major Weakness develops a sound somewhere between grunge, blues and rock. Inspired by Pearl Jam, Jack White, Acdc, Led Zeppelin, Kiss and other musical giants, Canadian new rock, blues music and UK punk: the trio immortalizes Major Weakness by composing songs that aim to listen as much as possible to any age, songs that make you think about current events and certain events. with their lyrics and finally, sounds that invite you to listen to them over and over again. It’s with hours of work, persistence, self-financing and most of all, a huge passion for them making Major Weakness get started on recording an EP. It’s at Studio Monocube, in Laurentides, Quebec, Canada with Jeff, the studio soundman, that the trio decides to go ahead and share their music with the world.
What advice would offer aspiring performers?

Persistence, huge passion , love of music: no music/no life/know music/know life

How do you set yourselves apart from other bands or singers?

above all we like to experiment with sounds coming from our different influences and countries. we have been listening to rock music since our childhood and have listened to a lot of bands, we have been in several festivals since our youth, them we have a great mix of French Canadian and Brazilian culture.
Any new gigs or albums in the future
We have a brand new EP (4 songs), you will listen to on All the platform in few days. A beautiful musical story was born for the Canadian-Brazilian group and they are ready to share with you their stories and what they have to say, while making you want to listen attentively to each sound they have to make you listen to.

DJ Interviews: Larry Williams Jr.

Hey there guys DJ Dizzy here & I had the esteemed pleasure of interviewing a rapper who answers to the name of Larry Williams Jr.

  • 1. How'd I get Started in Music?
I Started Freestyling.  In the Mixtape Era. The 80's & 90's I didn't have the Hottest Flow to get Recognized or get placed on a Mixtape but in Music all it takes is Practice.

2. Who are My Inspirations or Influences? Young Jezzy, Cassidy, Plies, Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes, Joe Budden, Daddy Yankee, Pop Smoke, and Redman.

3. What Advice would I offer
Aspiring Performers? It's good to be Down with a Team But at any time you Think that a Team Member or Family Member might affect your career I Strongly suggest you Distance yourself in Certain ways.  There's certain people i know i wont have contact with unless it's Online or Via phone.  If we by Chance meet i Speak and keep it moving.  New Rappers gotta Learn Quickly to Stick and move.

4. How do I Set Myself Apart from other Bands or Singers? I choose to stay independent weather I make it big or not. I'm not signing a Major deal Because i need money.  I'm very different you gotta get to know me.  If i choose to let you.

5. Any Albums or gigs in the Future? I'm gonna be working on a New Single in the Next few Months.

Lots of Love Larry Williams Follow me on Twitter
