DJ Interviews: Cross Wires

Heres my interview with the band Cross Wires

How'd you get started in music?

We’ve all been in different bands individually before Cross Wires from teenage punk bands to more serious stuff. Personally it was seeing Blur that made me want it bee it a band.

Who are your inspirations or influences?

As mentioned previously Blur have been a big influence on me but there’s loads of artists that have left an impression on me and somehow found a way in to my songwriting even if it’s not obvious to people listening - Bowie, Buzzcocks, The Clash, The Cure, The Doors, Interpol, Joy Division, Magazine, The National, Nick Cave, Pulp, The Strokes, Wire…

What advice would you offer aspiring performers?
1) Don’t try to hard to copy current trends. 2) You’ll get better. 3) Be kind to sound engineers, promoters, other bands.

How do you set yourselves apart from other bands or singers?

There’s loads of great music about at the moment despite what people say so it’s really tough to grab peoples attention. We really concentrate on quality control now so every song has to be better or at least as strong as stuff we already have to end up on an album etc or it gets binned. I think we are a really great live band and I think that always wins people over.

Any new gigs or albums in the future

We’ve just finished our second album and it’s being mixed as we speak. That will be out next year with the first single taken from it coming out soon. Our next gig is at The Old Queens Head in Islington, London on 14th September.

DJ Interviews; Fuzzruckus

Hey there all here's my interview with band Fuzzruckus by way of thi=eir guitarist & songwritter A.C.

How'd you get started in music?
My parents told me I was always dancing to music as a toddler. Of course I don't remember that at all. But I do remember my dad listening to old school country music and my mom listening to pop music. So I got a love of melancholic acoustic ballads from my dad, pop melodies from my mom. The rock guitar - that's from Jesus!  I do remember being a little kid listening to "Can't Fight This Feeling" by REO Speedwagon on the radio in my bedroom. And there it was - the combination of pop and rock music that I would pursue in life. The first cassette single I bought was "Armageddon It" by Def Leppard, and I'd play "Don't Be Cruel" and "Ghost Town" by Cheap Trick in jukeboxes.  When I was a teenager I was really into the hair bands of the era, especially Poison and Warrant.  Warrant would be my first concert and Poison's guitarist C.C. DeVille would be the reason I decided I wanted to play guitar.  By the time I got my first guitar for my high school graduation present, grunge had already taken over the music scene, but I was still into the pop rock stuff as I learned to play guitar. I took lessons at a local guitar store and started to write songs as well. I eventually joined a band called Ambassador At Large as the guitarist/co-songwriter. We played basement and backyard parties. Eventually that morphed into Greenstick Fracture. We recorded and put out a few cds, had our songs on Myspace and the early streaming services like soundclick, and played in bars. It came to a sudden and awkward end for me. I then gave up music for many years, but music is a part of me. I couldn't quit. I got back into playing and writing. I had a few failed projects before Fuzzruckus. We started recording in 2020 and put out our first EP in April of 2021. Our latest EP came out in May of this year.

Who are your inspirations or influences?
My earliest influences were Warrant's singer-songwriter Jani Lane and Poison guitarist C.C. DeVille.  A little while after I started playing guitar, I got really into Cheap Trick, who I had only listened to a few songs of theirs in the past.  I was never going to be a singer and front man like Jani, I wasn't going to be a shredder like C.C., but Rick Nielsen - now there was a guy I could and wanted to be like. A guitarist/songwriter.  Cheap Trick became my biggest influence, along with Enuff Z'nuff, a great and underrated or maybe just overlooked and misunderstood band. They're basically on the power pop - hair band borderline, so their music really appeals to me.  As the 90's progressed and alternative music moved into post-grunge, there were bands I really enjoyed and became a big fan of - Goo Goo Dolls, Gin Blossoms, Collective Soul.  They became influences as well. Also pop-punk like Green Day and Bowling For Soup. And again a lesser known band - Marvelous 3, a punkier power pop band lead by Butch Walker who went on to produce everyone from Taylor Swift to Panic At The Disco.  So my influences are pretty varied - everything from 70's/80's rock like Cheap Trick and REO Speedwagon, to the hair bands Poison and Warrant, to 90's alternative Goo Goo Dolls and Green Day.

What advice would you offer aspiring performers?
First and foremost - always be yourself. Authenticity is so important. If you're not making the music you want to make just to fit in, what's the point? In my opinion, then you're doing it wrong. Maybe you just want money and stardom and you'll sacrifice authenticity for opportunity, and I guess you do you. But if you want to make music and enjoy it and express who you are as an artist - be yourself and if people don't like you, too bad!  Second would be the cliche of "never give up". You're going to be rejected. A lot! Over and over. And it's going to suck. It's going to make you want to quit. It is going to make you wonder if you're any good. I had so many failures before Fuzzruckus which has become my biggest success. Third - finding a community/scene to belong to will help tremendously You'll find people to listen to and support your music. Whether it is in your hometown, or even on the internet. Fuzzruckus is extremely happy to be part of what artist Marc Schuster recently named Tweetcore. We're artists who have met on twitter. I will always be grateful to The Negatrons for being the first band that really helped us figure things out and introduce us to the community. Along the way met Scoopski, who I have so much respect for, he's a great talent and was awesome enough to join us for our single "Fortune Cookie". I can't name everyone and apologize to anyone I don't name, but also - Modern Amusement, Thee Rakevines, Mikey J, Orange Creek Riders, Jim France, The Future Us, No Drinks For Jimmy.

How do you set yourselves apart from other bands or singers?
The thing that sets us apart is our varied influences.  Are there any other bands out there whose influences range from REO Speedwagon to Green Day, with all points of pop rock in between? It definitely sets us apart, but what I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I can't say, "Well, we sound like Cheap Trick", because on the first EP there are songs that I've been told sound like Oasis. I can't say "We sound like Goo Goo Dolls", because I've been told a song on the second EP sounds like Weezer. I love the diversity, I think it sets us apart, but I'm not sure it helps us find the right listeners sometimes.  I'm honestly also a little sensitive about being "the guy who likes hair bands" amongst a crowd of The Replacement fans, but what are you gonna do? I guess what I'm trying to say is Fuzzruckus sets ourselves apart by being unafraid of being uncool.

Any new gigs or albums in the future?

We just released our latest single, "Redundant", a Green Day cover which completes the deluxe edition of our latest EP, Paranoia Baby on Spotify. The standard version is available everywhere, including for sale on bandcamp.com  As well as our first self titled EP.  Our next single will be out mid October. And it marks a new era for Fuzzruckus.  I'm not sure our listeners are quite ready for this one!  If your open to hearing us sound like Poison in 1987, you'll dig it. If not...well, you know...  We hope you all stick around for the new song and new era. Until then, enjoy "Redundant"!

DJ Interviews: Vego Asia

Here's my interview with singer Veho Asia, enjoy!

How'd you get started in music?

I grew up with my dad and he is 1 of jehovah's witnesses and my mother left when i was still very young.as a kid growing up in a divided home made me a very sad kid i was a very shy too and singing was part of my weekly assignment.
We always have to rehearse kingdom songs before the next Christian meetings and that was how it all started.
My dad is a fan of music, he always listened to jazz and electronics.

I loved r&b songs and Rihanna was my favorite artist i use to rehearse her songs az and by friends would love to listen and they said i had a good voice sometimes we use to play musically.
Kids in my neighborhood always come to me to sing for them and we will have our mini concert i will be on stage with a plastic bottle cut at the bottom to change the sound of voice and make it loud and they sing along to every song i sang(other artist songs).
Then we relocated to another city my dad remarried i was going through so many things mentally and i couldn't speak out so i started writing them down.
There was this girl in my school i had feelings for and i recorded a song for her using a radio cassette took it to school and at launch break i played it to my friends infront of the girl and we was making too much noice that the teacher heard us i came in next she took the cassette to the principal and he didn't like the words in the song so i was punished for 4days.
When my dad heard what happened he wasn't happy at all so i faced another punishment at home for singing romance.
I became more motivated and didn't stop i always found a way to sing my mind out since then.

Who are your inspirations or influences?

Rihanna,50cent,fella kuti,French Montana celine dion, west life, dido, sean Kingston nicky Minaj, lil wayne,ti,and everything that sounded nice in my ears

What advice would you offer aspiring performers?

I use to think that i needed to be where the big artist are i use to think meeting them will make me a star but no i realized that it's a complicated journey and each of us have our differences and path so my advice to anybody making music is believe in yourself keep doing it your way.
Get a good team working on making you visible and never stop believing and praying 1 day it will be in your favor and the whole team will be booked for the tour.

How do you set yourselves apart from other bands or singers?

98 percent of my lyrics is base on reality my daily life and the things I've been through i talk about my past present and future.
I want the world to know my story and the best way i do that is in my music.
I never see anyone bigger or lesser than me and i respect everybody who is achieving their success in music it's their time and mine is coming and so will it be for those coming behind me.
When it's about music i never get tired of working am always in the studio even when i have nothing to work my headphones is my best friend.
Most importantly i dream bigger than my capacity.

Any new gigs or albums in the future?

The End It (a song I wrote about the Anglophone Crisis in Cameroon) Remixes collection for a charity I chose in Cameroon is out soon on streaming and bandcamp via quickfix very soon - it has mixes in many styles from producers all around the world - it's a very exciting project !
I Am working on my debut album and more details will be available soon - meanwhile i have some good music out there available (like my collabo record with NZM Inc. & End It single on Quickfix). - i call on all my supporters to go enjoy.

DJ Interviews: Blokeacola

Here's my interview with singer, Blokeacola

How'd you get started in music?

Music is/was a big part of my family life. My dad is a songwriter and musician and we always listened to and played a lot of music growing up. It was perhaps inevitable I'd want to make music with friends and that's what I did, playing in bands for years in the UK before becoming a solo artist and then moving to China.

Who are your inspirations or influences?

There are obvious influences like The Beatles who I listened to from an early age but actually older kids I grew up around that were playing/recording music were also big inspirations, in addition to my dad. I can listen to all kinds of music and draw inspiration from it. Just reading about music or watching a music documentary will inspire me.

What advice would you offer aspiring performers?

If you're performing live, rehearse, rehearse, rehearse. Try to make your rehearsal setting as close as possible to how you will be performing. Once you hit the stage it won't feel or sound the same as in your bedroom so you need to know every bit of your material inside out. If you're writing and recording music just focus on what it is you want to hear and like the sound of. If you like it then the chances are someone else will. Remember making music is an end in itself, if you are pleased with what you're doing then anything else is a bonus.

How do you set yourselves apart from other bands or singers?

Haha well I guess putting this silly, orange helmet on has helped increase my clicks. In all seriousness though I don't really think about that when it comes to making music. I just focus on making what I want to make. If people just do that then they will necessarily be different because every person is unique.

Any new gigs or albums in the future?

I don't really gig any longer sadly as I have a young family I want to be around for but I still put a lot of time aside to record and release music. My new EP 'Wig Game' is out September 2nd. People can check out my tunes at blokeacola.bandcamp.com or find me wherever they stream.

DJ Interviews: The Star Crumbles

Hey there guys, here's my interview with band, The Star Crumbles

The Star Crumbles is a band consisting of Brian Lambert and Marc Schuster. Their music would sound right at home on any 80s radio station!

How'd you get started in music?

Marc: I remember hearing music everywhere as a kid—just in the everyday noises that surrounded me. I’d cup my hands over my ears while my dad was running the vacuum cleaner, and I’d move them back and forth—closer and further from my ears—at different speeds, and I could hear the pitch changing. Some variation on the doppler effect, I imagine. And I’d compose tiny songs just by doing that. Or I’d beat sticks against the sidewalk to make a rhythm. More formal training came later--song flute, piano, and guitar—but my first forays into music were about as DIY as possible.

Brian: As long as I could remember I loved music. I was always singing to the radio.  Of course there was church and I'd rather sing in the choir than just sit in pews.  When I was sixteen, punk and the whole DIY scene was everything so I picked up a guitar and taught myself how to play.  Since then I've been doing bands or performing solo in one form or fashion.  I even did country music for a stint and played Buddy Holly and did a deep dive into 50's rock.  Music has always been a big part of my life.

Who are your inspirations or influences?

Marc: I have so many inspirations and influences that it’s hard to know where to start! I remember hearing the Beatles’ white album when I was four and thinking that I wanted to be in a band just like them. And then when I was old enough to really appreciate music and be a part of it, the whole New Romantic movement just sucked me right in. David Bowie, for sure. And Brian Eno, of course. His Oblique Strategies approach to making music—using a deck of cards with random suggestions to stimulate creativity—really resonates with me. And a lot of they synth-pop bands of the early 80s that Bowie influenced like the Human League and Depeche Mode. And some of the more goth-sounding bands of the 70s and 80s as well: Bauhaus, Joy Division, the Cure. The list could go on and on!

Brian: My first influences were from MTV.   I loved Duran Duran and Rick Springfield, the whole early 80's New Wave movement really.  Then I discovered the Beatles and was really in the 60's and 70's classic rock.  High school coincided with grunge and punk which was a huge shift for me.  Ever since then my musical tastes have ranged all over the place from experimental music like Can and Brian Eno to Latin American pop music to classic country and Americana.  At the moment I am revisiting the 80's new wave movement.

What advice would you offer aspiring performers?

Marc: Make noise, have fun, do it because you like doing it. Try not to worry so much about numbers, and don’t do something that isn’t you because you think it will gain you followers. Be the best you that you can be, and let people discover the wonderful person or artist you really are. My friend Timothy Simmons is a music teacher, and he always tells his students to begin with one genuine sound. If you can do that, you’re really onto something.

Brian: Don't overthink things too much.  A lot of time and energy is wasted trying to figure out what people will respond to and only doing things if you think it will get the response you want.  I think that's backwards.  For me, it has been more effective to have an attitude of curiosity.  More like I wonder if/how people will respond when I do this.   That keeps you focused on your creativity and less worried about the response you will get.   My thinking is that this approach actually gets to something interesting that is what, ironically enough, people will respond to.

How do you set yourselves apart from other bands or singers?

Marc: I don’t necessarily know that we really try to set ourselves apart from other bands. Personally, I’m interested in trying to be part of a community, part of a larger discussion of what music can do and be. Whenever we put something out as the Star Crumbles (or even individually), it’s like saying, “Hey! Here’s another cool thing music can do!” Maybe that’s why we both like to work with other artists in addition to recording as the Star Crumbles. The more we play with other people, the more connected we become to the process of making music. There’s so much cool stuff out there, and it’s a privilege to get to be a part of it.

Brian: I don't really think about it.  It's more important to make connections with the audience and focus on what I am doing right in the moment.  If you're striving to be as honest as you can about your own experience I think the natural result is to be different because we all have very different journeys.

Any new gigs or albums in the future?

Marc: Yes! We have an album called The Ghost of Dancing Slow coming out on September 22, and a mini-documentary about the album is coming out on the same day. In terms of sound, you can definitely hear a lot of the influences I was talking about earlier. It’s definitely the kind of album that would have – and arguably should have – come out in the 80s. It has that kind of vibe. But we’re more than happy that it’s coming out now!

Brian: Always.  Right now the Star Crumbles album is what I am most excited about, but I am happiest when I am working on music so there is always something else coming down the pipe.

Marc: Thanks so much for interviewing us! We’d love for folks to check us out on our website: https://www.thestarcrumbles.com/

DJ Interviews: Erik 'EB' Daniels

Heres my interview with singer Erik Daniels, AKA EB

How'd you get started in music?
I got my first guitar when I was about ten years old, and would pretty much dust it off every few years and bang away at the same few chords for a couple of weeks before stuffing it back in the closet. Over the years, I also picked up an Alesis DM7X drum kit on a whim, which also fell victim to sporadic bouts of attention followed by years trapped in a big suitcase. For whatever reason, last year everything seemed to click into place, and I found myself writing and recording song after song... So kind of an overnight process that took many, many years.

Who are your inspirations or influences?
I love listening to rock music from the 60's (The Animals, The Zombies, etc) to now. As far as songwriting, I'd have to say Paul Simon is my biggest influence -- just how he can express pretty common, even mundane, experiences so poetically. I also love how he's never been afraid to embrace new sounds and influences, just following wherever his heart (or his ear) was leading him.

What advice would you offer aspiring performers?
Just do it for the love of the experience, of creating something new that you can share with others. And never let self doubt keep you from pursuing something. Everyone comes from their own unique perspective on the world, and it's a privilege to be able to express that in an artistic way.

How do you set yourselves apart from other bands or singers?
Again, I just think that we can't NOT be our own unique voice. As long as I'm not deliberately trying to copy someone else's sound, then whatever I come up with will be my own thing. That's not to say that you can't pick out various influences in my songs (I'm sure you can) -- but I just think that by focusing on expressing myself as truthfully as I can, and making music that resonates with me, then by default my body of work will set itself apart.

Any new gigs or albums in the future?
I'm actually quite far along in recording my follow-up album, and love the way it's taking shape. Hopefully I'll have it ready to go out into the world later this year or early in 2023.

DJ Interviews: Blackout Orchestra

Here's my interview with a dou band who hail from Toronto CanadaBlackout Orchestra

How'd you get started in music?
- I was really into movie scores as a kid, really moved by the music even if the movies weren't that good, and my family had a little Yamaha keyboard. I would just play around trying to figure out the melodies by ear. A was also an avid reader. So when I first heard the sort of alternative music that was coming out at the time, I realized that it mixed both of those things that I found really powerful - words that meant something soundtracked to really powerful sounds and melodies, and I was hooked.

Who are your inspirations or influences?
-That's really hard to pin down - I love everything from rock and hip hop, dance music, jazz, really avant garde noise rock - it might not be apparent but honestly I cherry pick a little from all of it. I guess if I were to narrow it down to one band that maybe we don't sound like but would look to as a career, it would be The Cure because they've done it all. They can play the most gut wrenching 11 minute dirge of existential pain before launching into the silliest 3 minute pop song and as a listener, you accept the whole spectrum - you still know it's The Cure even if the style is wildly different from song to song.

What advice would you offer aspiring performers?
-I would say the biggest mistake I see is deciding "this is the kind of band we are, this the fantasy we want to appeal to". I think the best artists from Bowie to Bjork to Kendrick Lamar create their own worlds and invite you in, and change as they evolve. If you decide "we're going to be a punk rock band", that doesn't leave a whole lot of room for evolution. You can make punk rock records, but don't tie yourself down to " we want to appeal to punk rock fans" because as an artist you want to give yourself room to explore wherever your impulse takes you. The only audience you should be thinking of is "if I weren't in this band, would I be a fan".

How do you set yourselves apart from other bands or singers?
-it's not a conscious thing, really. We don't set out to be different for the sake of it, we just set out to be as honest as possible about who we are. If you're being fully yourself when you're writing, you're going to stand out just by nature of the fact that everyone is unique. The more it comes from your core the more unique it will be.

Any new gigs or albums in the future?

-Our album Beauty Sleep will be out August 26th, and we're really happy with how it turned out. And we'll be playing in Ontario and Quebec through September. Beyond that, we're just trying to go with the flow. If the pandemic taught us anything it's that no matter how concrete you think your plans are, everything can change at a moment's notice. So for now we're just seeing what opportunities come up and if the excite us in the moment, we say yes and hope for the best.

DJ Interviews: Alex Pezeshkian

Here's my interview with singer, Alex Pezeshkian

How'd you get started in music?

As a self taught guitarist from the age of 11 years old I've always gravitated towards Rock and Blues Music, at 15 years old I started a band with some friends at school and eventually played a charity event which gave me the confidence to pursue performing live music. I ended up enrolling for a Bachelors Degree in Popular Music Performance but in hindsight I should have gone for Music Production as I found I'm more comfortable behind the scenes compared to being a frontman of a band. I left uni after my first year, I had some money saved so I started looking for bands that needed a guitarist or bass player. I wanted practical real life experience in a band. I played in two bands over that time and learned a lot. Since 2019 I have been releasing music on Spotify and Apple Music (plus all other platforms) under the micro label name 'Purple Frog Records'.

Who are your inspirations or influences?

My main inspirations are David Bowie and Jimi Hendrix, but I also love musicians like John Martyn, Nick Drake, Paul Simon, Message (a 1970's prog-rock band) and a plethera of other musicians, my taste is quite broad I'll listen to almost anything unless it's club music or death metal.

What advice would you offer aspiring performers?

Practice, patience and persistence are key - build up your repertoire as much as you can, learn about music as a culture as well, try to stay in the loop and network as much as possible...it doesn't matter how talented you think you are, in the real world it's about who you know not what you know. Lastly don't be a 'Jack of all trades' kind of person because you will find yourself lacking any real specialty skill which makes it a lot harder to get a good career in the industry.

How do you set yourselves apart from other bands or singers?

That's a good question, and it's one I'm still figuring out the answer to, I don't do anything that other people can't do, but I make music as honestly as I can if that makes sense. I want my songs to make people feel whatever I'm feeling, or at least enjoy the melodies I make.

Any new gigs or albums in the future?

Yes I have a single coming out soon titled 'Weird World' and an album in the works too

DJ Interviews: Flip My Beatz.

Heres my interview with Flip My Beatz a.k.a. Michael Buffaloe though its brief he took the time to answer them.

How'd you get started in music?
1. A Childhood friend of mine's brother wrote a rap song for me. It was about not doing drugs. I recited it one day at school in front of my class and my 4th grade teacher loved it. She then introduced me to some people that were running a drug campaign against drugs.
I kept on writing my own songs. Then I realized I was better at composing music and making beats.

Who are your major influences & inspirations?

2. Michael Jackson Comes to mind first, but my earlier influences are Hip Hop, R&B, and Dance.

What advice would you offer to other apisring performers?
3. Don't do it just for the money.

How do you set yourself apart from other artists or bands?

4. I like the trends, but choose not to always follow them. I like to experiment with new sounding music. Even when most people are scared to try it.

Any new gigs or albums in the future?

5. New Music Coming August 12, 2022 with Artist Sonia Grace. song Called "Don't Play With Love"

DJ Interviews: Rick & Sara Blasi

Hey there DJ Dizzy here & this  is my interview with Rick & Sara Blasi

Here are the questions

How'd you get started in music?

Sarah and I both come from families with musical legacies. Sarah’s parents were professional musicians, and her brother is a symphonic composer. My family was involved with big band, R&B and Broadway music. We were taught about music very early in our lives, started to perform at the age of four, and were expected to perform regularly in varied musical genres.

Who are your inspirations or influences?
We admire song-writers who are able to tell interesting stories and who incorporate different musical styles while making something that is uniquely their own. We admire song writers from various generations, and enjoy the songs for example, of Sting, Elton John and Prince, and more recently Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, and  Ed Sheeran.

What advice would you offer aspiring performers?
We think aspiring performers should think of their art as a journey, not a destination,  and take pleasure in the experiences along the way. There are so many things to learn about performing, recording, and distributing music. The tools for learning and doing all these things have never been better. These take an investment of time, intellect and energy. The improvements in music quality, performance capabilities, and audience reach and satisfaction, are the rewards of the journey.

How do you set yourselves apart from other bands or singers?
While we listen to a great deal of music, we try not to emulate other artists, but rather, to create music and lyrics that are our own. We leverage rock, R&B,funk, world, jazz and other styles along with Sarah’s ability to tell stories and her vocals to create songs that are musically interesting and entertaining.

Any new gigs or albums in the future
We tend to finish a new song every week or so. Right now we have a number of songs in process and expect to release another album quite soon. In the meantime, we will be releasing some of our singles in advance of the complete album, and enjoy bringing our listeners along for the ride as we develop new ideas.

DJ Reviews: Kalmo Doom TSEPVL

Hey there guys, it's Dizzy the kid hre & I have recently reviews the hard rock band's Kalmo's new song TSEPVL & its got quite a thrash type sound to it so I'd place it around th thrash metal genre.

The vocals put me in mind of  Dir En Grey almost but with a splash of Sepultura but eitherway the song itself its a real headbanger but the video however might be a bit graphic for most people but I'm sure some of you might be able to handle it.

Video description

The last soul trapped in human flesh, his time depleting. Despair is complete, as complete as the inescapable end itself. The distorted image, reflected in the darkness at the last moment, invites the last of the lasts to step into the void. This is not an ending, but the end.

here's hoping that you like the song & also their music as well & here's a big shout out to them for sending their tunes my way & much luck to them in their music. So until then I'll catch you on The Flipside! Stay awesome & rock n roll!

Kalmo (cadaver in English) is a one-man metal band from Finland. Kalmo’s music is raw and dark doom metal, spiced with a fistful of black metal. Lyrics written in Finnish tell tales and visions about the inevitable end of this all. Kalmo feasts on influences from old school metal bands like Celtic Frost, Slayer, Death Breath, Black Sabbath, and Master.

The debut EP, Demoni, was unleashed on May 10th, 2019. The album Gehinnom was spewed forth via Sliptrick Records on 13th of April, 2021. EP is available at Kalmo’s Bandcamp and the album is available at deadpulse.com in both digital and CD formats.

At the moment Kalmo is working on new material. Based on the first demos of some of the new songs, the musical style and a few other aspects will undergo some changes. Release dates and formats of the new material are yet to be decided. It will take its time for the new songs to (de)compose and rot to taste.

DJ Reviews: River Knight Grow

Hey there all its DJ Dizzy here & I;ve just heard a singer who answers to River Knight whos song Grow has a very decent accoustic & alt rock vibe to it.

The lyrics of the song have a very good message to it which talks about looking to the future & being optomistichence the hook about everything going to be alright in the end & I'm a big believer in turning things around. His voice has kind of a folkish sound that put me in mind a little of Bob Dylan & I thought it really complimented the song. But be sure to check out the track for yourself.

Until then I'll catch you on The Flipside! Stay awesome & rock n roll!
