DJ Reviews: DOA by Lukas Rossi

Hey there one & all its your old friend DJ Dizzy here & I'm back to do another music review. This time I'm reviewing a new song called DOA by a singer named Lukas Rossi.

For some that don't know who Lukas Rossi is, he's a Canadian rock singer who has appeared on the shows Rock Star Supernova & has also done music for the hit anime Beyblade (Let it rip!) he has a style that borders on alt & hard rock with his singing & he really shows it in his music style which is really admirable.

His songs are all about self-expression through emotion & having heard his music he's a real professional & he really shows that he has real versatility in his singing be it operatic or hard rock he shows real passion & dedication as well real emotion within his songs which what I sensed in his artistry.

The song itself is a living testament of his artistry & the song itself talks about looking for redemption from the scars inflicted on him with a hard rock sound that'll really make you want to mosh but other than that he brings a shear authenticity to his music just with his voice alone which is something that I highly applaud.

So in conclusion if you haven't checked out Lukas Rossi's music his new single DOA I highly recommend it &it gets perfect 10 because of his voice, artistry & creativity & if you all want to check out more of his music, there will be a link to his channel below

So until then I'll catch you on The Flipside, stay frosty & rock n roll!

DJ Reviews: Gospel de Paris- Herritage Goldman

Hello everyone DJDizzy here & I'm doing a music review of French artist Herritage Goldman & their newly produced song Gospel De Paris (Gospel of Paris)

Herritage Goldman is a French Producer but the singer of this song is French artist Marina Kay who with her magnifique voice brought this song to life with its beautiful ly well done gospel style instrumental.

The Song,

While I don't know Frech to well I will say that this song has a very beautiful message it talks about how we need to be holy & honor Heaven above & hope & pryer can get through anything regardless of the language the essage of this song is pretty clear. I'll also say that I always wanted to see how people in other cointries specialize in different music genres & add in their own sound & style to it it just goes to show how music is in fact universal & how it has a power of ts own which is something that I highly admire.

Aside from that the singer Marina Kay has a unique gift that she presented when singing this song & you can really hear the passtion in her voice & throughout the song & she really delivered the message twith a little help from the choir & their melodieous & harmonic voices as well & the piano intro for it & the instrumental was also well composed.

The video

The video for it featured Marina singing about her asking for forgiveness in which was well presented & the choir was right behind her so basically it was set in a church setting which was an appropriate setting for this piece all in all it was a well done vid with a well done song.

In conclusion,

This was a really well done song with a deep message at its core & if you happen to know French then I'd like to ask for a translation of the song but aside from that its a good one at that so I give it a 10.

To hear more feel free to view their youtube channel & you can check out the video of the song via the links below so until then I;ll catch you on The Flipside. Stay fristy & rock n roll!

DJ Reviews: Circles By Divinium

Hey there everyone ita your old friend DJ Dizzy here, & Its been s long time since I did a review & this time around I'm doing a review of the song 'Circes' by Divinium.

The Band,

The band Divinium is an electro/cinematic  duo who of course specialize in making techno/electronic music & they have their producer/sound egnieer Pete Carman to thank for helping them with their musis & videos, In addition to mastering their tracks he is also a skilled drummer next to another fekow musician in their crew Taina Hannah who pkays the keys & guitar.

The song, The vocalist shows his passion by way of songwriting & playing the strings as they all show with this song that I'm about to review so pull up a chair sit back & relax as we take a dive.

The Song,

This song says alot about how life & days are a cycle that always repeats itself & that tine is always mivug forward as it shows in the video in which the link we'll be provided down below for your viewing pleasure. Other than that the video does a really good job artistically telling a story of how life always goes around in a circle & the singer does a really good job of expressing that with his vocal style he talkd alot about growing up & moving forward as things change & thats something that we can all relate to me especially.

His vocal style put me in mind of a mix of Coldplay & Hozier in a really good way because of how much it matched the message of the song & he really made it stand out the way he blended things with the electronic melody & the techno somber sound that also fit it perfectly.

So overall its a good song with a good meaning about how life & time are always moving in a never ending circle & talks about how we all need to change & adjust though it might be a bit hard to do but its one thing we have to do as life goes on over all I give it a 10 because it has a food message & good visuals for the video.

If you'd like to check out the video & learn more about both Divinium & lectowave feel free to hit them up on Twitter & their Youtube channels & feel free to check out the video for their new song 'Circles' via the link below. So until then I'll catch you on The Flipside.

DJ Reviews: Misfit by Souljunkie

Hey there folks its your old friend DJ Dizzy here & I've got a whole new review of a song by Souljunkie called 'Misfit'

The Artist:

Souljunkie is an artist who's also an aspiring song writter & he proves that he has alot of potential as both a songwriter & a musician in which he shows in his music especially in this one song in particular in which I'll be reviewing so buckle up because it's going to be a really wild ride.

The song:

The song has a sort of surf/alt rock vibe in the instrumental & it also shows in some of the guiatar solos, The vocals also have a distinctive sound to them as in mellowed out & laid back ehich really gives the song a good feel matter of fact everything but overall the song has sort of laid back chill surf alt rock type vibe to it which proves to be really enjoyable.

The song tells about innocent youth & growing up & how we all manage to make a connection with someone & their mistakes so much so that they're deemed a misfit which is what I gathered from the song & how using your mistakes to shape you into a better or a decent person & I think we're all considered a misfit to someone in some cases which is something that's deeply relatable.

In conclusion:

This song has a really interesting message to it about how we all can let our mistakes shape us & also how we can come across to folks but the overall surf rock vibe of the song really caught my ear & I found it enjoyable & I'm sure some of you will too. I give this song a 10/

To find out more bout Souljunkie you can check out his Youtube channel & listen to the song via the links below & until then I'll catch you on The Flipside. Stay frosty & rock n roll!

DJ Reviews: Pretty/Scary by Fridays In California

Hey there one & all its your old friend DJ Dizzy here & I had the pleasure of reviewing the song Pretty/Scary by the band Fridays In Califronia

The Band,

Fridays In California are an indie rock band who are based in California who formed back in 2019 & their different musical styles blend together after they realized their chemeistry together & they show that in their latest song Pretty/Scary in which I'll be reviewing right now.

The Song,

This song shows it has a garage rock kind of sound to it in addition to some grunge & hard rock undertones mixed in & the lead singer's vocals really coincide well along wit the other musicians involved & I could really sense the chemistry between them in their plsying.

The song tells an interesting story of how the lead singer's girl can be seen a little but scary because of her ways or whatever mood she might be in depending on how you see it it still tells an interesting story from the lead singer's POV & the musicians really compliment each other in their playing the way everything came together really brought the story to life in a really quirky way which is something that I think you'll enjoy listening to as much as I did.

In conclusion,

Fridays In California has awesome chemistry not just as a band but as musician altogether & the song /vocals really show it & the song itself was on an enjoyable level so for both their chemistry & quirliness I give them a 10. You can find more of their music via their Youtube link below & you can listen to their song 'Pretty/Scary' via the link below & until then I'll catch you on The Flipside! DJ Reviews: Electronic Dreams by Electowve

Hellp one & all its your friend DJ Dizzy here & I have yet another music review this time featuring another Electowave song Eectronic Dreams

The song,

Now this song truly does live up to the elctronic sound which Electowave clearly shows & it is a decent bop for the dance floor & it really captires the EDM vibe of things it also uses an array of synth type sounds to really emphasize it along with some added vocals. Not much to say exceot that Electowave really prove that they're masters of honing their craft when it comes to the EDM/electronica scene & they really show their flair/passion for it & their mastery has really taken them far along with their originality.

In Conclusidion.

Electronic Dreams is a good song for  night club scene or a rave depending on if you're heavliy into the electronic sound but its a good song to jm to no less & Electowave have proven that they're truly unique & original with their electronic sound so this song get a 10 from me.

DJ Reviews: Deciever by Carmila

Hey there guys, DJ Dizzy here & I'm back with another music review this time round I'm reviewing a new track called Deciever by Carmila.

The Band,

Carmila is a female fronted metal band that formed back in 2017 in Sweeden & they have a sound that's different from all of the metal bands I have heard very unique They really remind me so much of the band Halestorm which is a favorite band of mine but other than that they do have a sound thats all their own courtesy of the female lead & their music really says it all.

The Song,

The song itself has a thrash type feel to it as the lead singer really shows it with her fire vocals & melodic sound at best & the video for it is very visual what with a mix of animation & live action & the use of many camera shots from different angles & perspective which really made the video come alive but other than that I though the song had some well done voicals & the maetal instrumental gave it more of a thrash feel which is a good thing.

In Conclusion

Carmila & their new song are a smash hit in my book & its one song that I highly recomend & suggest that you check out & you can also feel free to check out some of their other tracks via their Youtube channel but overall I give their new track Deciever a 10.

DJ Reviews: Electtronic Dance Night by Electowave

Hey there folks, uts DJ Dizzy back with another music review featirong a new track by none other than Electowave as they have cooked up a new song that of Electronic Dance Night.

The song,

The song really captures the electronic part of it since it has it has a EDM type feel to it & it has a sound that transcends & the vocals for it spoke more about the music aspect of it which is something that I gathered from it but the tune itself had some decent  progressions though the voicals made it alittle hard to keep up with.

I'll also say that it really kept true to its theme which was to let the music take center stage & to let it move you which is what I thought it was they were aiming for bur I digress. It really was an Electronic Dance Night but other than that it;s a real bop if you're into electronica.

In Conclusion

The song itself heavily emphasizes its theme & while it ws very unique  its still a decent bop if you're into EDM or electronica while thats not really my cup of tea I give this song a 10 mainly because of how they let the music mostly did the talking for it.

You can hear the song in the link down below so until then I'll catch you on The Flipside!

DJ Reviews: Lonely Heart Drive by Electowave

Hey there folks its DJ Dizzy here & I'm back with another review & this time around its Electowave with their new track Lonely Heart Drive.

The song

Now to start off this review I have to say it was a real cynth overload because this song relied heavily on the elcotronic synth sound with some undertones of EDM thrown in & well they really let the music speak for itself on this track which gave it sort of an intense sound on its end to be honest  when you think of a song about having a lonely heart I was sort of expecting to have some lyrics to the track but it is interesting to have the music say something.

The Video

The video for it mostly emphssized the concept a lonely heart there were also messges scattered around such as I miss you & I'll call you & I felt like it gave the song/vid a sort of stalker vibe, Now no dsrespect to Electowave but when you do a song thats about a lonely heart the thing to do is to have a mellow sound & meaningful lyrics  but you can be the judge for it.

Some of it didn't really match what ut was trying to speak on & it looked like something put together at random & just spun together some random locals in the process so to be honest they could've done a better job.

In Conclusion

The song & video weren't really on point with ech other & I was expecting something on the mellow side of things no disrespect to Electowave but things weren't really on point with each other & whie it was oversaturated with synth it was still a decent bop its my personal opion that this wasn't really the best track by Electowave  so its a 5 out of 10.

You can check out the video vua the link below & until then I'll catch you on The Flipside! Stay frosty & rock n roll.

DJ Reviews: Peter Bloom Band- Random thoughts of a paralyzed mind

Hey there everyonw, DJ Dizzy here & I'm back with another review that of The Peter Bloom Band 7 their album  Thoughts  From A Paralyzed Mind.

This band is fronted by a well known Canadiam radio personality Peter Cugno (Pronounced Koon yo) who is also a well known voice actor perhaps best known for his role popular anime Beyblade amongs other projects but in his spare time does comedy songs & also his own brand of music he not only speaks in English but is also  very fluent in French which really shows in his songs for his album to whivh I'll be reviweing.

The songs,

The songs are done in French  & the music for it has a coffeehouse type feel to it what with the accoustic/electric sound which does give it a poetic feel in a good sense but overall has a really mellow vibe & Pete's singing is very soothing & smooth & beautifully expresses his feelings by way of storytelling in his songs. One song I reaally enjoy in particular was called Courage Mon Amour (Careful My Love) I really like it because of his singing & how you can really feel how he  sings straight from his heart & soul & how the accoustic guitar really captires the story with it.

I also like the fact that this album showcases how he sings in French as well because its like seeing him in a different light which is something that you rarely get with other artists, i heard him speaking in English but to hear him singing fluently in French is a real treat & to be honest it is pretty romantic that I admit.

In Conclusion,

This is an album that I highly recommnd that you check out even if you're a first time listener since he does awesome work as a voice over artist & musician & I'm sure that you'll develop a real liking toward his music & singing as I have so I give his music an overall 10.

DJ Reviews: Shoshana Ami- Back Together

Hey there one & all its DJ Dizzy back at you with another music review, this time its singer Shoshana Ami with her new song Back Together

Shoshana Ami is a singer who's based in Brooklyn New York who also prodiuces her own work which is very admirableshe lso demonstrates that he has alot of edgey sounds to her music which is what I'll be reviewing.

The song,

The song has sort of an accoustic/electirc type feel to it as she talks about how she's been wanting to reconnect with an old friend of hers & be able to recreate some of the good times she once had after being on a hiatus which is what I sort of gotten from it but overall its still a good bop nne the less The video for it on the otherhand  leaves alot to be desired since it looks like she's imposed alot on a TV screen & involves alot of special effects but the song is a decent banger that much I will say.

Her vocal style sounded a bit auto tuned but was still decent bout & I also admire how she produces her own works at that & writes her own lyrics so I imagine that we'll be hearing more from her in the near future.

In Conclusion,

While the song itself is a decent bop music wise but the video on the one hand wasn't really the best but the song is still a good listen. so its a 7 out of 10.

You can view the video by way of the link below & until then I'll catch you on The Flipside! Stay awesome & rockn roll!

DJ Reviews: Marianne Kester Broken (Revision)

Hey there veryone, DJ Dizzy here & I've got a music review that of singer Marianne Kester's new song Broken which is a revision.

Marianne Kester is an accoustic folk/pop singer who specializes in poetry type songs & she does an amazing job with the lyrics & she takes alot of inspiration from poetry in her music & is also heavily influenced by not just poems but nursery rhymes which is what I had gathered from this following song.

The song focuses how there so many things that're broken such as roots, stems, flowers, minutes, & hours to say the most & it even depicts it in the video & the song itself uses a folish rock type tone to capture the lyrics & it also speaks on how we need to be able to repair things that have gone wrong in our lives hard as we try but overall its got a good message & a great folkish rock feel to it. Marianne's gentle singing voice also compliments the folk rock tones to the song itsef  as for the music video it spells things out in the litteral since which is a good thing but as to the song which is a revision they really hit the nail on the head when emphasizing the lyrics of the song.

In conclusin,

Broken revision is a song that I highly recommend that you give a listen to & the video is a real look at how even the things that were once broken can be repaired in time with a litte love & time & if you haven't heard the song or seen the video there will be a link down below to check it out but overall its a good listen so I give it a 10 out of 10

So untill then I'll catch you on The Flipside! Stay frosty & rock n roll!

DJ Reviews: Junah Soleil – Fou de toi

Hello one & all its your old friend DJ Dizzy here coming at you with another music review this time I'm featuring a singer by the name os Junah Solei & their new song Fou de toi (Which means crazy about you.)

Junah Solei is a French pop singer who has also worked with famed French prodicers/musicians Electowave & have developed this bop of a tune, She posesses a mellow yet hypnotic/childlike sound with her vocal style which is also on the enchanting/mesmerizing side as well which is something very unique just as much as the song.

The song

The song itself kind of talks about her beng in love & going on adventures with her crush as we all have that fantasy which is what I gathered from it but the song itself has a psychadellic type vibe with a very heavily nfluennced electrinuc feel to it & they also manage to include alot of synnthesized beats & styling into the song if you're into that sort of thing but it is a decent song no less,

In conclusion,

While this song gives off a very psychedellic/electro vube to it its got a decent beat & it also does kin of capture what Junah was going for which is making it big & traveling depending on what its about but its still a good listen depending on how you might feel or see with it  but overall it was really unique so I have to give this song a 9 out of 10.

DJ Reviews: Isabelle Boulay - Parle-moi

Hey there everyone, Its your old friend DJ Dizzy here back with another music review this time its of singer Isabelle Boulay with her song Parle Moi (Speak to me)

Isabelle Boulay is a  French Canadian pop singer who has a very melodic yet R&B type sound to her voical style which highly compliments this song & her singing style altogether which she does really well & also still manages to really stay humble to her craft & you can also thank Electowave for their electrofying discovery & nurturing with this bewitching talent.

The song,

While I don't know French too well I did manage to catch what this song talks about it mostly highlights growth both emotionally & mentally & not being afriad to accept your flaws regardless of how many of them you may have, It has a more toned down accoustic sound to it from what I had heard & it also has a mixture of easy listening style vibes & a sort of R&B feel to it which is something that Isabelle captires really well with the vocal performance of it.

In conclusion,

Parle Moi is definte tube that's worth listening to & it'll really get you in the mood to want to take the time to meditate & refect on your own growth & struggles & working through them but iverall is a good lsiten to for any such a=ocassion & I'll also say to Electowave that they really have an eye for discovering & working with muical talent even when it comes to their own musicla mastery. So this is one song.singer that I highly recommend that you check out so both get a perfect 10.

DJ Reviews: Rock Sugar Band

Hey there all its DJ Dizzy & I've had the esteemed honor & pleasure of listening to well known rock band Rock Sugar.

Rock Sugar is a band lead by none other than voice actor extraordinaire Jess Harnel & they have a music style inspired/influenced by the 80s sound of pop & metal which they feature well in their music. They also do covers & mashups of well known songs such as 'Kickstart My Rhapsody,' & 'Don't Stop The Sandman.' To name a few I also had the pleasure of seeing them perform live & they do an amazing job.

Jess Harnell has a definte rock n roll metal sound & it really shows when he sings & you can really hear the power that he puts into his vocal performance he's not only a seasoned veteran when it comes to voice acting but also singing & he really captures  the 80s metal sound in the rendiditions of the songs & he does a really awesome job at honing his craft both vocally & musically.

So in conclusion Rock Sugar is a band that I highly recommend you check out when it comes to their musical mashups especially if you're new to their sound or are looking for a good rush. They get an all out 100 from me.

DJ Reviews: Plus One by Speedy Ortiz

Hello everyone, DJ Dizzy here & I'm doing a review of the song Plus One by Speedy Ortiz so hold on tight cause we're about to rock!

The Band,

Speedy Ortiz is a band comprised of singer/songwriter Sadie Dupius who was inspired by many music artists Liz Phair & The Foo Fighters to name a few & then would soon incorporate some of their sounds into her own music as she demonstrates in her music she also manages to also take inspiration from anime in the video in which I'll be getting to right now.

The song,

The song is has sort of of an alt rock/punk vibe to it & the vocal styling are like a mixture of Liz Phair meets Foo Fighters type vibe & the band does a really good job of capturing the essence of the alt rock sound in the song & in their music, The video was a bit fast paced & sort of had of a flash animation feel to it & spoke on meeting up with friends which is what I had picked up from it but overall a very interesting piece at that so this a good song to listen to when you're getting ready to go out to catch a show which it emphasized. The song also captures the influences of the many artists that the singer is influenced by both in vocal & in instrumental & they all do a good job of making that sound their own.

In Conclusion,

Speedy Orti is a bad that I highly recommend to anyone especially first time listeners & this song is a good tune itself & you can really hear how much of effrt & inspiration go into every detail of the Plus One tune itself. If you want to learn more about Speedy Ortiz then feel free to check out their Youtube channel & their website via the links below & until then I'll catch you on The Flipside.

DJ Reviews: Follow Me by Nina Martiene & Electowave

Hey everyone its DJ Dizzy here with another music review this time around its the song Follow Me by Nina Martiene

The song,

This song talks so much about growth & following day to day journey as you progress through whatever those days might bring & Nina really emephasizes that point throughout the song & the music style of it has an accoustic/synth coffeeshop vibe to it but is still an overall good song to listen to no less but the overall message of the song is that we all need to make changres & progress & be ready to face whatever the week or life might bring us its an overall good song, Nina vocal style for this song gave off a coffee shop/lounge singer type feel especially for this song which is what I had gotten from it

In conclusion

The song itself has a good message to it & is one that I recommend because of of its mellow coffeehouse style groove & it'll get you motivated to keep going. DJ Reviews: Cherry Medicine by Ace Frehely

Hey there folks, DJ Dizzy here & I'm reviewing the song Cherry Medicine by Ace Frehely.

Ace Frehely,

Ace Frehely for some that don't know is best known for being in the legendary rock band KISS as Space Ace or Star Man & has charted with then with hit songs Detroit Rock City, & my perosnal fave Rock N Roll All Nite & they've been very active since the 70s but in this day & age most members have embarked on solo projects & Ace iis just one of those members.

The song,

I have to say that after hearing Cherry Medicine the song itself while as campy s t may soud  is a real banger instrumental wise & is heavily inflenced by the guitar & has a serious hard rock feel to it & Ace's vocal styling on this tracl is a mixture of Frank Zappa & Ozzy Osbourne in a good way & the overall message is that he's looking for something to cure his ails which is what I got out of the song  in this case he's reffering to a girl who he needs to keep company & we all need some medicine to cure whatever ails which is what I got from this song. Ace also really out did himself both vocally & instrumentally I felt like he took some inspo from Frank Zappa in this which is a good thing because the song souded fun, with its handbanging guitar & hard rocking instrumental through out it.

In conclusion,

This song is a definite bop & headbanger & its overall message is that we need something to look for & cure whatever might be ailing us & so I recommend that you check it out even if you're new to Ace Frehely & KISS altogether. Feel free to check out the song via the Youtube link below.

Until then I'll catch you on The Flipside! Stay frosty & rock n roll!

DJ Reviews: My Hero by C'mon C'mon

Hey there everyone, DJ Dizzy here & I'm reviewing C'mon C'mons song 'My Hero' so get ready to rock.

The Band,

Formed in 2022 c;monc'mon  had their first single, The Summers We Missed & have been going strong since then & they have a sound all of their own which sounds like they're inspired by garage /surf rock with a mixture of an alt sound as well & these are heavily shown in their music.

The song,

The song 'My Hero' sounds very influenced by the garage rock sound  with a hint of a surf rock type vibe along with the vocal style & the message itself speaks on looking at life & learning but more about learning from the people arpund you & learning to take on some of their traitss but also never being afraid to look back & not doing anything for the sake of notaritity which really hits home.

So overall this song has a good sound & essage to it.

In conclusion,

The song 'My Hero' is a surefire must listen & its got a great sound with it & I also want to wish the band lots of luck in their music& also to keep going strong, If you'd like to hear more of their music be sure to check out more of their music via the links below & until then I'll catch you on TThe Flipsode

DJ Reviews: The Things I Feel by GIFT SHOP

Hey there it's DJ Dizzy here & I'm doing a review of the song The Things I feel by the band Giftshop.

The band,

Giftshop is a New York based punk rock band who formed back in 2007, The members are Matt, Meghan, Damian, & Jordan who are highly inspired by the New York punk scene which shows alot in their music & their style. Their misic genres of choice are alt-rock & pop but mostly punk which serves as theor specialtiy.

The song,

The song uses a heavily punk inflenced sound that remotely remeniscent of the punk band Rancid there's also some elemnts pf the old school hardcore sound of the Ramones somewhat but it still manages to maintain a sound/style all its own. The lead singer's vocal style is a mixture of The Distillers Brody Dale with a hint of Wendy O Williams but manages to stay true to the her own sound by way of a rap which is very fast paced & unique.

Though the lyrics were hard to understand because it was a bit fast paced there is a hint of expressing emotion of love at its core overall it manages to get its point across without being overly muahy & is a real bop that'll have you want to mosh with your friends on the dance floor.

In conclusion,

The song offers a punk/rap style sound & is a very unique love song at that but overall its a good song that'll really get you moshing with your friends & I highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in the punk scene or is a major fan in general.
