Here's my interview with Koji Planet Soul Band
How'd you get started in music?
●I Can’t remember but It’s the most natural thing for us to
do Rock ’n Roll thing.
We are drum less band so we rely on the drums beat by 20th century’s AKAI MPC 2000.
KOJI : Vo, Gt, Songwriter.
YUMIKO : Bass
Who are your inspirations or influences?
●I couldn’t count. Not only Rock but INDIAN classical, Techno , Hip Hop, Jazz , you name it ! Any good music .
What advice would offer aspiring performers?
●Listening to any good music. No matter any genre. And Play freely.
How do you set yourselves apart from other bands or singers?
●We don’t care to be apart from other artists. Originality is some where in your soul.
Any new gigs or albums in the future?
●No gigs for a while under this pandemic circumstance. Just writing songs and wishing release new album in this year 2021.
We won the 1st place in the 3rd round of the EMERGENZA 2020 Tokyo.
The result of EMERGENZA is determined by the number of hands raised by the audience at the venue.
It will be held in 36 countries around the world and will eventually be the final at the Taubertal festival in Germany.
Our semi-finals will be held in 2022 at Shibuya Eggman.
We are a Japanese band for rock gigs at clubhouses.
The video is edited using the video taken by the audience with a handy camera and smartphone.
We are waiting for the day to play in front of the audience again!
