How'd you get started in music?
We have all been working as musicians for several years. But when Covid put a stop to most live music, we decided to pool our resources and started making music together. We realised very fast that it was not just music, but a band.
Who are your inspirations or influences?
The influences for all of us are very varied. As a band, we definitely are inspired by Sublime, NOFX, Rage Against The Machine, and we all are big reggae fans.
What advice would offer aspiring performers?
The music business is a grind. First, make sure your music is up to a standard. Then learn how to share your story. People don't follow you for what you do, but why you do it. Create and share a lot of content. Collaborate, collaborate, collaborate. And learn to love the journey, it is going to be a long one.
How do you set yourselves apart from other bands or singers?
Kandemic's music is very varied. We use influences from the past and make something new and fresh. And it helps to have few aliens in the band.
Any new gigs or albums in the future?
We have just finished recording our first album and already working on the second one. The songs will be released one at a time, on the day of the full moon. Our latest song "Control" came out on Wednesday the 26th of May and our next song "Going Down" will be out on the 24th of June.
