Here's my interview with Copperhead County.
How'd you get started in music?
All of us have been playing music for years. Jordy (who plays organ) and Robert (our guitar player) wanted to form a southern rock band and got together in 2018 via an add on the internet. Later that year singer Corvin also joined the band. In 2019 Alex became our drummer and our bass player Johan is part of Copperhead County since last september.
Who are your inspirations or influences?
We are both inspired and influenced by different bands: Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers Band, The Outlaws and more recently Blackberry Smoke. But even though we are influenced by them, we obviously have our own sound.
What advice would you offer aspiring performers?
Practice hard, have fun and enjoy what you're doing. Making music is the best thing in the world. So if there is anything you don't like, let it go. It's not worth wasting your time on.
How do you set yourselves apart from other bands or singers?
First of all because we are a southern rockband but we are also from The Netherlands. There are not many southern rockbands here, let alone any that only play this style of music. The second reason is our ambition. We want to make The Netherlands and Europe love southern rock just as much as we do. Third reason is off course our music. Our songs, the way we sound and the way we performe on stage.
Any new gigs or albums in the future?
Yes, absolutely! We are currently working on our second album which should be released somewhere in 2022. Something that we are really proud of, is the fact that Matt Wallace is going to produce it. He is known for his work with bands like Maroon 5, Faith No More and Blackberry Smoke.
As for gigs, unfortunately COVID-19 has again thrown us back a bit. We just finished a 10 day tour through Germany, but all other shows in The Netherlands for 2021 have been cancelled. But in 2022, there are allready some great shows booked. We'll be playing in the famous Melkweg in Amsterdam for example. Let's just hope COVID is finally going to be over soon, so we can do what we do best: rock!
Special thanks to them for this interview & I wish them lots of luck in their music which you can view on the following links. So until then I;ll catch you on The Flipside! Stay awesome & rock n roll! Wanna hear more from us? You can find us on
