DJ Interviews: Bury the Darkness

Hey there guys its your old friend DJ Dizzy here, & I proudly present to you a band that I've had the pleasure of interviewing ladies & gentlemen Bury The Darkness!

1) We all grew up playing classical music and listening to rock and metal. Our lead guitarist, Marc Rosenfeld and drummer Jon Keeney played string bass in orchestra. Marc played in multiple youth symphony orchestras all around Phoenix Arizona and has performed in Carnegie Hall in NYC. He has also been  in multiple local metal bands since he was 14 years old. Our lead singer, Jared Harper and Bassist, Brandon Brantley, are childhood friends and were in choir up until they graduated.

2) Bring Me The Horizon, I Prevail, Periphery, and Bad Omens are huge influences on our style. We also all grew up on 80s metal & classic rock and attribute bands like Metallica and Anthrax for getting us into the genre.

3) Anybody can do it if you believe in yourself and work hard. It’s definitely not easy but if you put your mind to something anything is possible. If you have a vision, work endlessly to create it and manifest it into reality. You can literally create your own reality. The hardest part is getting started. Focus on the music and market your product as much as you can.

4) We are not afraid to experiment with our sound and love try new things. Our sound is diverse and we strive to be unique. We don’t want every song to sound the same. We want to keep our listeners on their toes and unsure what to expect next. It makes creating music exciting and we continue to grow as artists.

5) We are currently working on our first project and love what we are creating so far. Every song has it owns vibe to it and we are crafting our own unique sound. It is still far from finished but very excited for what is to come. Unfortunately we have no shows booked at the moment due to COVID but cannot wait to hit the stage and perform these songs live. We will have something dropping very soon (next couple of weeks) so definitely be on the lookout for that!

Special thanks to then for doing this interview & I wish them luck in their music. So until then I'll catch you on The Flipside! Stay awesome & rock n roll!
