DJ Reviews: Its Not Too Late by Solar Heavy

Hey there folks ots your old friend DJ Dizzy here & I'm back with another interview, that of Solar Heavy & their new song Its Never Too Late.

The Band,

Spolar Heavy is an electro funk tpre band who of course specialize in electro music & their new song really shows the funky side of things in thuis song.

The song,

This song has a very funky/soulful type feel as it combines with their signature electro type sound as they showcase it instrumental wise but as for the vocals are something to really consider but other than that the song itself was on the mellow.chill side of things but the message of the song says that Its Not Too Late because its never to late to change things around be it your day or your life if you're willing to have the will stregnth to turn things around which this song clearly shows & delivers on both ends. The vocals however weren't that noticable but overall it was good song no less.

In Conclusion,

Overall the song itself delvers a very mellow vibe to it & the message itself is very clear, the vocals however weren't really on point but the song itself is worth listening too & will really help both your mood & your day, So a 9 out of 10.

DJ Reviews: Just Too Much by Tremonti

Hello again you lucky folks you its your old friend DJ Dizzy here back with another review this time its of the song Just Too Much by the hard rocker Mark Tremonti.

The artist:

For some that aren't too familiar with him Mark Tremonti is best known for fronting the hit hard rocking metal band Alter Bridge but nowadays he's off doing his own stuff with his own band apply named Tremonti & he's hitting hard with his new song to which I'll be reviewing so hang out tight cause we're going for a ride.

The Song:

The sng itsekf dekviers a hardcore instrumntal comprised of crunchy guitar & thunderous drums to bring this masterpeice to life & his clean.clear vocals are very much spot on as this song showcases. The meaning for it shows that some things can be too much to handle at times but through everything you have to keep moving forward & just try to cope with whatever goes your way. The video for it was like a concert type film featuring an intense closeup of the drummer banging his sticks & the guitarists coming together as they get started in playing & Mark really showing his proewss as why he's considered to be an amaizng singer as they all bring this song to life.

In conclusion:

The song & the video are really on point & it delviers a hard rocking experience & is one song that I recommend that you check out even if you might be alittle new to Mark Tremonti but overall this was an awesome banger of a song so I give it a perfect 10.

DJ Interviews:Aleksandar Bogdanovic of Dvoeverie

Here's my interview with Aleksandar Bogdanovic of dark metal band Dvoeverie

How'd you get started in music?

***

We started making music as teenagers some 20 years ago as Withed Tears, a Gothic/Doom Metal band and recorded only one demo and one single. It was a terribly difficult time to have an extreme metal band in Montenegro, but we had a lot of fun playing, doing rehearsals and practically living together. After many years of break some of us reunited in Dvoeverie in 2022 and continued where we had stopped.

Who are your inspirations or influences?

***

We have always been hooked up on early 90's Metal and late 80's Gothic Rock. We grew up listening to bands like Anathema, My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, Crowbar, Primordial, Sisters of Mercy, Cure... But our tastes go far beyond those two genres, we also love 70's Progressive Rock such as King Crimson, Peter Gabriel, Pink Floyd, newer alternative rock like Killing Joke, Porcupine Tree, Wovenhand, Katatonia. The guitar player adores Grunge, Black Metal and electronic music. I personally also like Thrash Metal, older Death Metal especially the British scene and avant-garde music like Frank Zappa or P. J. Harvey. We constantly search for and listen to new music and send to each other things we happen to like... And a lot, lot more...

What advice would you offer aspiring performers?

***

Well, in the time we live it is hard to advice what to do, because it is usually expected that bands want to succeed in terms of audience, number of likes/shares or money. Dvoeverie doesn't pursue any of these. We make music out of the urge for creation, it's always been part of us and in times we didn't do it we ended up starved out and always came back together to do it again. So my honest advice to new bands and artists would be: focus all your energy into your art and if you have something strong to say - it is bound to find its way to the people it was intended to, eventually.

How do you set yourself apart from other bands or singers?

We have always been trying hard to find our own musical and lyrical language. We have a myriad of influences, but those are not only the musical ones. I think that Kljajo (our songwriter) has an incredibly singular approach to composition, especially to playing guitar. On the other hand, when writing lyrics I am influenced by poetry and literature in general, sometimes even by movies or video games. We also never paid too much attention to practicing and technique, but try to convey the idea and the emotion as best as we can.

Any new gigs or albums in the future?

***

We signed our next album for Fetzner Death Records since the story with 'Accipimus Dolorem' (our previous album) went flawlessly with them. It's a ten song Metal album in the vein of the early 90's, much faster and more aggressive than all of our previous works, and it will most probably be released on a CD again, this Fall. We also recorded new single which is releasing in a month or two. We don't do live gigs for now, at all. We are planning to do it with our Gothic Rock side project Suns of Eve, though - but I can't say when for certain.

Special thanks to them for doing this interview & if you want to check out their music feel free to check them out on their bandcamp page & Youtube channel via the link below. so until then I'll catch you on The Fli[sode! Stay frosty & rcok n roll!
