Hey there al heres my interview with the band Circle The Wolves
How did you get started in music?
Circle the Wolves was formed in June of 2021. Corey Johnson (Producer/Writer) and Steven Johnson (Guitarist) have been friends for years. They always wanted to do a project together so they formed "Circle The Wolves" They brought in drummer Keith Runco and powerhouse vocalist Michelle Johnson. The 4 of them together just make amazing music. So far they have written 16 songs so far and write new ones every Wednesday. It's an exciting experience to be in the room writing with this band. They just connect and write some of the most melodic songs I have ever heard in Metal.
Who are your inspirations or influences?
Well our vocalist Michelle grew up listening to "Diva's" like Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. She also loves Evanescence, Alanis Morisette, Kate Busy and so much more. She also grew up in the United States with lots of Country Music surrounding her. So with that being said she has a very unique style that combines a bit of all those genres. Steven & Corey grew up in the 80's and have listened to some of the greatest rock music that was ever written. Keith Runco, our drummer, is simply amazing. Trained in violin and drums. His playing is very very unique. Circle the Wolves wouldn't exist without Keith's drumming. He has a certain style that exceptionally works with Circle the Wolves. We also have Ben our Bass player for the group that plays all the live shows. Even though he is not part of the writing process, his playing is exceptional and an amazing stage presence.
What advice would you offer aspiring performers?
Find the group of people that really work with your vision of what you want to do musically. The better you work together, the more amazing the music will be. If you're a rock band playing live is essential. Even if you are only playing for 5 people , 100 people or 5000 people. Put the exact same show on no matter what. Get some good visuals to promote via and your website and keep pushing your stuff.
How do you set yourselves apart from other bands or singers?
Our vocalists' melody lines and lyrics are exceptional and easy to relate to. Plus when she sings live it's like you're listening to the album at home. Perfect pitch and a great live show. Circle the wolves is starting to add dancers to their shows and more. Show is very much planned out and organized. Worth the 10 -25 bucks to go see us live. We like to give you all a very good show.
Any new gigs or albums in the future?
Yes we are currently working on album 2 "2000 Pieces" that will be released in 2022. No exact date of release yet. Debut Album "Circle the Wolves" will be released December 6 2021. So this is less than a week away at this point. We also have a big show at Shakers Roadhouse in Edmonton Alberta Canada December 17th 2021 only $15.00 tickets at the door and included with that if you're the first 40 people to arrive at the show you get the debut album free plus an album from Cinders Flame and solo artist Shimmer Johnson. So for $15.00 you're getting a great show and night out plus 3 free mp3 albums on a USB stick. So we hope that will get at least 40 people out to come check out our new music.
