DJ Interviews: Just Imagines

 Heres my interview with the band The Just Imagines

1) 

Ciroyelle: Music has been part of my life since I was very young. I started recording my own songs in 2017 because I was seeking a creative outlet outside of my daily 9-5 working life. I quickly came to realize, something I already suspected, that this is where my true passion lies. 

Tyler: I started playing guitar at a young age but had never written any of my own stuff. I always loved music and was strongly influenced by my highly hippy parents. During the global lockdown I wrote my first song and the rest is history.

Tyler: One of the first bands that influenced both of us, at a very young age, were The Beatles and they continue to do so to this day. ... I also love hard rock, prog and classical. Some of my other favorite bands are Tool, The Mars Volta, King Gizzard & more.

Ciroyelle: Unique artists like Freddy Mercury or Tina Turner, who were also an inspiration for me, because they are incredibly diverse in their music and voice. I would be remiss if I did not mention Bob Marley as another key inspiration and influence, because not only did everything about his music appeal to me, but also the way in which he changed the world with what he stood for. These are a few examples of my inspirations because I'm highly influenced by a diverse range of musical genres and styles. 

We both especially love the music from the 60s & 70s.

Don't be discouraged by negative feedback, instead use this as motivation to overcome obstacles. Focus on making small improvements every day and before you know it, you will be awesome.

We are a real life power couple who met through music as solo artists and last year we formed our band called The Just Imagines. - Our music in 3 words is epic, trippy and evocative. Later this year, we'll be releasing an album which will include all of our inspirations and influences, as well as new genres we haven't done before. This ability to delve into different genres and to have our own unique style, is what sets us apart from other artists.

The album that we will release later this year, will be composed of styles like blues, funk, worldmusic, jazz, soul, classical, folk and more in our own psychedelic love groove finesse. This concept album will tell the marvelous story of how a chance encounter, on Twitter - led us to meet the love of our lives on this and our future music. Each song on this album will tell a different chapter of this love story. We look forward to performing all our songs in the near future as soon as Ciroyelle's visa is approved to live with Tyler in the USA.
